This workshop takes an in-depth look at the changes to the health and safety legislation and the ramifications to your business. The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 has followed the work of the Independent Taskforce on Health and Safety and the Royal Commission on the Pike River Coal Mine Tragedy. With significantly increased obligations, new tests for liability, expansion of officer’s responsibilities and new fines of up to $3 million, this is one area of your legal compliance that cannot be ignored. The Health and Safety at Work Act will come into effect on 4 April 2016. Now is the time to review your health and safety systems to ensure that your business understands and meets its legislative compliance requirements.
